The European Commission organized a solidarity action to provide Ukrainian schoolchildren with transport to school.

As part of this initiative, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Germany and the Netherlands will hand over 120 school buses to Ukraine.
Also, the EU will allocate 14 million euros for the purchase and transportation of another 120 school buses, so the total number of vehicles that will be transferred to Ukraine will reach 240 units.
The European Commission is calling on public and private organizations in the EU and beyond to join forces and show solidarity by providing the buses needed to transport Ukrainian children to their schools in the coming months.
"Ukrainian children need school buses. Europe is currently donating 14 million euros for this. And we need more. Therefore, the European Commission is organizing a solidarity campaign to provide school buses for Ukraine by the beginning of 2023. Together we can help the children - the future of Ukraine," said the president Ursula von der Leyen of the European Commission.
