Corrected strikes of Russian Federation and was waiting for "joining" Russian Federation: In Dnipropetrovsk region, SSU detained Russian agent. PHOTOS
A Russian informant was detained in the Dnipropetrovsk region, who was adjusting Russian strikes on the frontline town of Synelnykove.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the SSU press service.
"The perpetrator was a 30-year-old local unemployed man who came to the 'attention' of the occupiers because of his pro-Kremlin comments in messengers. In particular, in his posts he hoped for the region's "accession" to Russia," the statement said.
In one of the chats, the man was contacted by the administrator of the Russian Telegram channel, which is controlled by Russian intelligence.
After being remotely involved in cooperation with the occupiers, the suspect began preparing coordinates for a new series of air strikes on the Sinelnykove district.
"To carry out the enemy's task, the suspect went around the area, where he secretly recorded the places of concentration of Ukrainian troops. At the same time, the offender collected data and took photos of local power substations. After the reconnaissance raids, the informant sent the collected data to his Russian supervisor," the SSU said.
The SSU exposed the offender and detained him at his place of residence. Measures were also taken to secure the Defence Forces' bases. During the searches, the SBU seized a mobile phone from the detainee, which he used to communicate with the enemy curator.
He was served a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorised dissemination of information on the movement or deployment of the Armed Forces and other formations committed under martial law).
He is in custody. He faces up to 8 years in prison.
