Three traitors who collaborated with Russian invaders during the occupation of Kherson region were detained.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the SSU press service.
Among the detainees is a resident of Kherson, a Russian military intelligence agent who was adjusting the shelling of the Defence Forces.
To do this, she travelled around the community on a scooter and tried to identify the locations of Ukrainian troops involved in hostilities at the front. The enemy was interested in camouflaged headquarters, firing positions and strongholds of the Armed Forces.
The woman sent the data to the Russian GRU in the form of screenshots with markings of military facilities on Google maps.
The traitor was detained in her own home and comprehensive measures were taken to secure the positions of the Defence Forces.
The SSU also detained a 60-year-old former law enforcement officer from Kherson, who joined the Russian occupation administration after the occupation of the community.
"There, the former mayor of the city, Oleksandr Kobets, appointed the collaborator as his 'deputy for legal affairs'. Among his main tasks was the preparation of a pseudo-referendum of ruscists on the region's accession to the aggressor country," the SSU said.
The third detainee was a resident of Kherson, who during the occupation was a member of the so-called "Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kherson Region".
There, she was engaged in the "passportisation" of locals through the forced registration of Russian citizenship.
Currently, the detainees have been served suspicion notices under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: part 2 of Article 111 (high treason committed under martial law), parts 5, 7 of Article 111-1 (collaboration).
They are in custody. They face from 15 years in prison to life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
