As a result of one of the enemy's shells hitting a five-story building in Mykolaivka, Donetsk region, two people were killed and five others were wounded.
This was announced by the head of the Donetsk RMA Vadym Filashkin, Censor.NET reports.
"2 people were killed and 5 wounded as a result of the shelling of Mykolaivka. One of the shells hit a five-storey building, and 4 other houses nearby sustained varying degrees of damage," the statement said.
It is noted that the authorities, police, rescuers and EOD specialists are working at the site.
"I emphasize once again: it is dangerous to stay in the Donetsk region! Take care of yourselves! Evacuate!" - said the head of the RMA.
The Donetsk regional prosecutor's office said that the Russian army shelled a residential area in Mykolaivka, Kramatorsk district, at 3:45 p.m.
At least five civilians, aged 60 to 77, sustained injuries of varying severity. Four women and a man were taken to a medical facility with mine-blast traumas and shrapnel wounds, where they are being provided with qualified medical care.
It is also reported that apartment buildings and vehicles were damaged in the area where the munitions hit. The type of weapon used is being established.
