Petro Velykyi, an actor of the Chernihiv Regional Academic Ukrainian Music and Drama Theatre named after Shevchenko, died at the front defending Ukraine.
This was reported on Facebook by the deputy director of the Chernihiv Drama Theatre Oleksandr Maishev, Censor.NET informs.
"On the shield... Hero Petro Velykyi. A great actor... Our Great... Pain... Please help his daughter, who is also an actress in our theatre," the message reads.
Petro Velykyi worked at the Chernihiv Regional Academic Music and Drama Theatre named after Taras Shevchenko since 2004, and had over 35 roles to his credit, including Petro in the play "Earth", Perelesnyk in "The Forest Song", Holokhvistyi in "Chasing Two Hares", and Karpo in "The Kaidashev Family". He was 48 years old.
