Minor Russian agents detained who detonated explosives near Kyiv region police station - SSU. VIDEO&PHOTOS
The Security Service and the National Police detained two juvenile Russian agents who were involved in terrorist activities by Russian special services. On 28 November this year, the suspects carried out a terrorist attack in the Vyshhorod district of Kyiv region.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the SSU press centre.
As noted, on the instructions of the Russian special services, the attackers detonated an improvised explosive device near the building of the local district police station. No one was injured in the incident.
According to the Internal Security Department of the National Police, the incident took place on 28 November in the village of Ivankiv, opposite the police station.
Both terrorists were exposed in hot pursuit. The perpetrators were two 14-year-old residents of the community, whom the occupiers had remotely recruited through Telegram channels in search of quick money.
To commit the crime, the young men used explosives disguised as a thermos and kept in a cache in Kyiv region.
Under the instructions of the occupiers, the perpetrators filled the explosive device with nuts and bolts to increase the explosive effect.
Near the administrative building where the explosion was to take place, the perpetrators covertly installed a mobile phone to broadcast the explosion in real time.
The perpetrators used another mobile phone with a special programme they had received from the occupiers to carry out the remote detonation.
Who directed the bombers' actions?
All the terrorists' actions were directed by a representative of the Russian special services, who disguised himself as a girl and promised money in case of completion of an enemy task. However, the defendants did not receive the "guaranteed" funds from Russia.
During the searches, mobile phones and other evidence of subversive activities in favour of the aggressor country were seized.
The SSU investigators served the detainees a notice of suspicion under Part 2 Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (terrorist act).
What do they face?
Despite the young age of the defendants, they face up to 12 years in prison for committing a particularly serious crime.
