A group of healthcare workers, intermediaries and men liable for military service who were helped to obtain documents declaring them unfit for military service for USD 5-8 thousand will be tried in Kyiv.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.

"The Desnianskyi District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv sent to court an indictment against the director and senior nurse of a municipal polyclinic, a surgeon at a medical institution in the capital, the head of the hospital's endocrinology department and three intermediaries who helped the men obtain certificates of unfitness for military service, which allowed them to cross the state border of Ukraine (Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the statement said.

Also, six men liable for military service who used the services of these medical workers to issue certificates of unfitness for military service with subsequent exclusion from military registration, with the aim of illegally crossing the state border of Ukraine (Part 5 of Article 27, Part 3 of Article 332, Part 4 of Article 358, Article 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) will be tried.

As noted, the pre-trial investigation established that the cost of preparing such documents was from 5 to 8 thousand US dollars.
