Trembita drone missile and Bulava domestic drone were presented for first time at exhibition. PHOTOS

On Friday, 21 February, the Ukrainian drone missile Trembita was demonstrated for the first time at the Defence Tech Innovations Forum 2025. The developers also presented the Bulava unmanned reconnaissance and strike system, which is domestically produced.

This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Censor.NET reports.

"We held a large-scale exhibition of defence technologies, where we presented hundreds of war game changers - from UAVs and electronic warfare to missiles and training systems for the military," the statement said.

In addition, 29 teams presented their projects to global investors. Among the most interesting were an AI-based tool for analysing UAV photos and a software solution to improve the effectiveness of target engagement with firepower.

The Army TV channel published a video of the Trembita missile.

It is noted that this Ukrainian missile flies at a speed of up to 400 km/h and reaches strategic targets of the enemy.

"The developers say it will reach Moscow," the post reads.

The We Are Ukraine Telegram channel also published footage of the missile, noting that it was a cruise missile and that its smaller version was intended to act as a so-called decoy.

Characteristics of the Trembita surface-to-surface cruise missile in this modification:

  • flight range of up to 200 kilometres,
  • The warhead weighs 20 kilograms,
  • speed of 150 metres per second.

The cost of this weapon is 4 thousand dollars.

Bulava strike drone

DeViRo presented the Bulava unmanned reconnaissance-strike complex as part of the Defence Tech Innovations Forum 2025, Militarnyi reports.

This unmanned aircraft complex was created at the request of the Ukrainian military to strike at important targets of the Russian occupiers.

The complex includes the kamikaze drones themselves, a ground control station, repeaters and reconnaissance equipment that allow them to perform combat missions autonomously.

What are the characteristics?

The kamikaze drone features X-shaped stabilizers and is equipped with various types of warheads weighing 3.6 kg. The most commonly used warhead is a cumulative-thermobaric warhead of Ukrainian origin.

The drone takes off via a catapult and flies using an electric motor, reaching a maximum speed of around 100 km/h.

With a length of 1.5 meters and a wingspan of 1.6 meters, the drone can remain airborne for up to 50 minutes, either heading toward its target or loitering in the air. The maximum flight altitude is 2000 meters.

The Ukrainian attack drone has received a communication system that is resistant to Russian electronic warfare.

"To operate at maximum distances, the drone uses MESH technology to transmit data via a drone repeater. This ensures that targets can be hit at a distance of up to 55 kilometres. If Bulava is used without a repeater, the combat radius is limited to 35 kilometres," the developers explained.

Due to its X-shaped plumage, Bulava is highly manoeuvrable.

The drone has now been confirmed to have hit Russian targets at a distance of 55 kilometres from the launch point.
