Two Russian soldiers who threatened to shoot civilians during occupation of Bucha will be tried - National Police. PHOTO

National Police investigators sent to court an indictment against two occupiers who threatened civilians with executions.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the Communications Department of the National Police.

It was established that on 3 March 2022, during the temporary occupation of Bucha, a mechanic-driver of the 9th Air Assault Company of the 234th Air Assault Regiment of the 76th Air Assault Division of the Russian Airborne Forces ill-treated civilians. In particular, he put an automatic small arms to the head of a woman and threatened to shoot her.

Another defendant, a squad commander of a combat vehicle of the 4th Air Assault Company of the same unit, also threatened the civilian with weapons. In particular, he fired about four shots in the air, after which the occupier pulled out a grenade pin and threatened to blow up the victim.

The actions of the defendants are classified under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (War Crimes).

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to twelve years.

The criminal proceedings with the indictment have already been sent to court.

The investigation is ongoing. The Office of the Prosecutor General provides procedural guidance in the criminal proceedings.
