In Kramatorsk, a traumatologist who demanded a bribe from a serviceman for assigning a disability group was exposed.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The wounded soldier wanted to get disability
In February 2025, a serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces approached a traumatologist at a medical facility in Kramatorsk to initiate the process of obtaining a disability status. A year earlier, the soldier had sustained multiple injuries while carrying out a combat mission in Donetsk region.
Traumatologist demanded a bribe for establishing II group of disability
The traumatologist, being a member of the expert team assessing the person's daily functioning, demanded that he be given an unlawful benefit of USD 500.
In return for the money, he promised to positively influence his colleagues in making a decision on the assignment of the II disability group.
Bribe-taking doctor detained
He was detained while receiving the equivalent of UAH 22,000.
Under the procedural supervision of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, the person was served a notice of suspicion of trading in influence (Part 3 Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He was served a notice of suspicion of influence peddling.
