Armed Forces of Ukraine are successfully counterattacking and inflicting significant losses on Russian troops, - Syrskyi
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi held a working meeting with a British delegation led by Chief of the Defence Staff of the United Kingdom Air Chief Marshal Richard Knighton.
Syrskyi announced this on Facebook, according to Censor.NET.
What did they discuss?
In particular, he reportedly provided his British colleagues with detailed information about the operational situation on the front lines. He paid special attention to the measures being taken by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to disrupt the Russian Armed Forces' autumn-winter campaign.
"Despite significant pressure from the enemy in certain areas of the front, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are successfully counterattacking and inflicting significant losses on Russian troops in terms of manpower and equipment," Syrskyi emphasised.
It is also noted that they separately discussed the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular, the means of destruction for the land, air and sea components of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
British assistance
"I took the opportunity to thank Air Chief Marshal Richard Knighton, the government, and the people of the United Kingdom for their consistent political support for Ukraine and their powerful military assistance to our Defence Forces.
The visit of our British partners has once again confirmed the effectiveness of our military cooperation and strategic partnership," the commander emphasised.
What preceded it?
- Earlier, Syrskyi reported that the Russians were trying to put pressure on the defensive positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration.
