Law enforcement officers detained a man who threw a grenade at police officers in Bukovyna.

At 22:50 in the city of Storozhynets, while responding to a call, an unknown person threw a combat grenade at a police car, near which two law enforcement officers were standing, and fled the scene.
Two law enforcement officers were injured in the explosion.
"A 23-year-old police officer from the response unit is in hospital in serious condition - doctors are fighting for his life. A 31-year-old police driver from the Police Security Department suffered minor injuries, his life is not in danger," the report said.
A special police operation was immediately launched. Criminal investigators, detectives, bomb disposal experts, dog handlers, patrol officers and KORD fighters were working to locate the perpetrator.
The attacker was detained during the night. Other dangerous items were found during a search of his vehicle.
Bukovyna Police Chief Viktor Nechytailo said that during the arrest, the man resisted law enforcement officers with an explosive device in his hands and had several more ammunition rounds with him.
