The life of Borys Avksentiuk, Doctor of Technical Sciences and professor, was cut short as a result of a Russian Shahed drone attack on Vinnytsia

What is known about the scientist
As noted, Borys Avksentiuk devoted many years to science and teaching. He worked as a professor at the Vinnytsia Institute of Trade and Economics, was a member of the institution’s academic council, and taught more than one generation of students.
"This is a painful loss for the scientific community and the educational family," Zabolotna wrote.
Colleagues’ recollections
He was known as a profound scholar and a talented researcher in the field of thermal physics. The author of more than 160 scientific and teaching-methodological works, he made a significant contribution to the development of research into heat and mass transfer processes.
Colleagues remember Borys Avksentiuk as a true intellectual, a man of great culture, wisdom, and dignity.
"My sincere condolences to the family, loved ones, colleagues, and students of Borys Avksentiuk. Blessed memory," the head of the Regional Military Administration added.
