Bus carrying more than 50 passengers en route to Bulgaria overturns in Khmelnytskyi region – National Police. PHOTOS

In Khmelnytskyi region, a tourist bus on the H-03 highway near the village of Shatava in Kamianets-Podilskyi district, traveling on the Kyiv– Burgas route, overturned.

As Censor.NET reports, this was stated in a report by the Khmelnytskyi region police.

Circumstances of the accident and work at the scene

The road accident occurred on June 23 at around 4:40 p.m.

A 46-year-old driver, driving a tourist bus on the Kyiv — Burgas (Bulgaria) route, lost control, drove into a ditch, and then overturned.

There were 54 passengers and a relief driver inside the bus. The number of people injured is currently being established.

Law enforcement officers and rescue workers continue to work at the scene. The issue of opening criminal proceedings under Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is being considered.
