Ruscists have struck cinema in Konotop: six injured. VIDEO&PHOTOS (updated)
On the afternoon of 24 June 2026, Russian forces launched an attack on Konotop in the Sumy region.
This was reported on a Telegram channel by Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, according to Censor.NET.
There are casualties
"Another strike on the Sumy region today – Konotop. The russians attacked civilian infrastructure in the city centre with drones.
We know of at least two people injured – a woman and a man. The man has suffered serious injuries; medics are providing the necessary treatment. We are assessing the full extent of the damage caused by the strike," he said.
Meanwhile, Mayor Artem Semenikhin reports that the enemy struck a cinema.
"There is one seriously injured person – a passer-by. His leg was torn off… A woman also sustained a neck injury. She was also a passer-by," the statement reads.
Updated information
Later, the State Emergency Service in Sumy region reported that six people were injured as a result of the enemy attack.
The strike caused a fire at the cinema. Due to the threat of repeated attacks, State Emergency Service specialists temporarily suspended their work. All fire outbreaks have now been extinguished.
