Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Olha Stefanishyna believes that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's team has brought a clean-up in the government.
She said this in an interview with Natalia Moseichuk, Censor.NET reports.
"We are forgetting several important things. Firstly, President Zelenskyy had nothing to do with the government or state assets before becoming president. He did not hold any positions, so he is completely unconnected to the past we are talking about. That team (Zelenskyy's - Ed.) may not be a perfect team, not a dream team, but it brought cleansing to the government system, a new culture. For me, it was a phenomenon that he (Zelenskyy - Ed.) was adored by all European leaders, just by default. They adored him, they wanted to communicate, to build relationships, because he became a phenomenon of European politics and democracy," she said.
According to Stefanishyna, it was not considered normal that in a democratic country 73% of the vote could be cast for one person.
"It was such an interesting phenomenon. We have no right to forget about it. And during this time, he has not changed in terms of his beliefs. Not everything is perfect in the country," the Vice Prime Minister added.
