The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that since the beginning of 2025, the total losses of the Russian occupiers in manpower have exceeded 74,000 people.

He wrote about this on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"Thanks to the coordinated combat work of all parts of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, since the beginning of the year, the total losses of the occupiers in manpower have exceeded 74,000 people. I thank the Ukrainian soldiers for their resilience and courage! The fight continues!" he said.

Earlier, it was reported that Russian military commanders are following the Kremlin's order and forcing men mobilised in 2022 to sign contracts with the Russian Ministry of Defence. Otherwise, they are promised to be sent to a "meat assault", where the survival rate is only 10-15%.

In January, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine's press service reported that Russia plans to recruit at least 126,000 soldiers from the "special forces" to replenish the army's losses.
