Combat work of air defence during massive attack on night of 17 February 2026. VIDEO
A video recording of air defence combat operations to destroy enemy targets in Ukrainian airspace has been published online.
According to Censor.NET, the footage was filmed by Ukrainian soldiers during one of the massive shellings on the night of 17 February 2026.
Massive strike on 17 February
During the night and morning of 17 February, Russia carried out a massive air strike on Ukraine, using cruise missiles, ballistic missiles and hundreds of strike drones. Air raid sirens sounded throughout the country.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russian troops fired 29 missiles of various types and nearly 400 UAVs at Ukraine. In particular:
- 4 Iskander-M ballistic missiles;
- 20 Kh-101 air-launched cruise missiles;
- 4 Iskander-K cruise missiles;
- X-59/69 guided air missile;
- 396 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other models of strike UAVs.
As of 9:30 a.m., air defence forces had destroyed 392 targets.
Four ballistic missiles and 18 strike UAVs were recorded hitting 13 locations, and debris from downed targets fell on eight locations.
