Drone Industry
The Unmanned Systems Forces have begun deploying unguided aerial rockets (UARs) from long-range drones to strike targets deep behind enemy lines.
This was reported on the Telegram channel by USF Commander Robert Brovdi (Madyar), according to Censor.NET.
The drones operate at a range of up to 500 kilometres and carry a warhead weighing up to 60 kilograms.
Details about UARs
UARs are unguided rocket projectiles traditionally used by helicopters and assault aviation to strike ground targets.
However, Ukrainian operators have now integrated such weaponry into long-range drones, opening new possibilities for attacks on the occupiers' rear facilities.
It is also noted that the combined use of a kamikaze drone along with eight UARs allows for more effective engagement of mobile air defense groups, machine gun crews, and other targets covering Russian air defense systems.
In particular, in the released footage, a Ukrainian FP-2 kamikaze drone fires unguided aerial rockets at a communications hub of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Crimea.
