Six Gazprom facilities disabled: Freedom of Russia Legion reports special operation in Russia. VIDEO

Six destroyed Gazprom gas distribution stations, more than $6 million in damage, and several months of preparation and implementation — the Freedom of Russia Legion has revealed details of an operation carried out in the Moscow and Tver regions of the Russian Federation.

According to Censor.NET, citing information released by the unit, six key gas distribution facilities in two Russian regions were disabled as a result of agent work by a Legion member on Russian territory.

The Legion emphasizes that it views Russia's energy sector as one of the key resources that allow the Kremlin to continue financing the war against Ukraine and maintaining the functioning of the repressive state apparatus. According to the organization, revenues from oil and gas exports have for many years been used to meet military needs, fund the activities of security agencies, and preserve the authorities' political monopoly.

Information about the operation was made public after the successful exfiltration of the operation participant from Russia and his joining the Legion as a recruit.

The Freedom of Russia Legion says it intends to continue countering the structures and mechanisms that, in its view, ensure the resilience of the Russian regime and its ability to continue aggression against Ukraine.
