"Army will turn its weapons against the Kremlin": Ruscist Lunin’s appeal to Putin with threats gains millions of views and reaches Peskov. VIDEO

Details have emerged about the identity of a Russian serviceman who claimed that the Russian army could launch an armed uprising against the current authorities. As reported by Censor.NET with reference to an investigation by Agentstvo, the author of the video address to Putin, which gained more than 5 million views, turned out to be 39-year-old blogger from Voronezh region Oleksandr Lunin, a former reconnaissance squad commander in the Sudoplatov "volunteer battalion."

Lunin served in this formation in occupied Zaporizhzhia in 2023, and after leaving the front in 2025, he began running blogs where he collects testimonies from active servicemen about torture and abuses by commanders. In the video, he said that representatives of law enforcement agencies and the Russian Defense Ministry had ordered him to deliver an ultimatum to Vladimir Putin. Lunin is demanding a personal meeting with the Russian president live on air. He threatens that if his demands are not met, the Russian army will march on the Kremlin.

Lunin openly speaks about brutal torture and abuse of soldiers in Russian military units. According to him, servicemen are punished en masse or "cancelled" for refusing to go on suicidal missions and for refusing to share money with commanders.

According to Lunin, handlers from the agencies explained that the ultimatum was an attempt to prevent a demarche at the front over impossible orders. Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has already responded to the threats of a mutiny:

"We were told that there is such an appeal, but we have not yet had time to familiarize ourselves with it. Therefore, I would not say anything. Judging by your words, there are some rather strange formulations; we need to familiarize ourselves with it first," he said.

The Pavlo Sudoplatov Battalion (also known as BARS-32) is an illegal armed formation created by the occupation authorities in September 2022 in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region (based mainly in Melitopol). In fact, it performs the functions of a "pocket" unit created by the Russian occupiers and collaborator Yevgeny Balitsky.
