What the struck defence giant produces
The Volgograd-based Titan-Barrikady plant is a full-cycle defence enterprise — from the stage of scientific design to serial assembly-line production of heavy equipment. For the Russian army, this facility is critically important because it is where the following are produced:
- Self-propelled launchers and transporter-loader vehicles (TLV) for Iskander-M operational-tactical missile systems;
- Launchers and key ground-based units for Topol-M and Yars strategic nuclear systems;
- Barrel artillery systems and large-calibre howitzers (including Msta-B/Msta-S modifications).
Strike results according to OSINT
On the night of 27 June, Ukrainian FP-5 "Flamingo" missiles struck the factory. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the use of these missiles during the strike.
Experts from the independent analytical group Dnipro Osint, after analysing satellite images and available materials from the scene, confirmed the high effectiveness of the Ukrainian attack. According to them, despite reports by the Russian Ministry of Defence about allegedly "shooting down everything that was flying," the facility was attacked by five missiles. At least three of them likely reached their targets, hitting two production workshops and another building of the enterprise.
