As result of Russian air defence operations, 50 hectares of forest caught fire near occupied Yalta. VIDEO
In the temporarily occupied Crimea, the forest fire in the mountains near Yalta – which was caused by Russian air defence operations – has spread to cover 50 hectares.
According to Censor.NET, efforts to bring the fire under control have been ongoing for the third day running, but strong gusts of wind are significantly hampering the fire-fighting operation. Wind speeds in the mountainous terrain are reaching 15 m/s, causing the flames to spread rapidly to new areas of the forest.
Efforts to deal with the aftermath of Russian air defence systems’ operations are currently underway; the challenging terrain and wind are hindering efforts to contain the fire.
