Solovyov called for reunification of Germany to be denounced and for GDR to be restored: "Break off diplomatic relations. There is no such country". VIDEO

Leading Kremlin propagandist Vladimir Solovyov made the headlines in the latest episode of his TV programme with further absurd claims regarding European national borders.

According to Censor.NET, this mouthpiece of Russian propaganda proposed revoking the recognition of modern Germany.

In his speech, Solovyov stated the need to denounce the Treaty on the Final Settlement with Respect to Germany (the ‘4+2’ format), signed in 1990, which laid the legal foundation for the unification of West Germany and East Germany.

"Given the violation of the basic ‘4+2’ agreement, we should revoke our recognition of German reunification, refuse to recognise this country as such, demand the restoration of the GDR, and simply sever all diplomatic relations. Such a country does not exist," the propagandist spouted yet another dose of anti-Western rhetoric.
