Downing of "Kinzhal" was not specifically told immediately, - Air Force
The Air Force of the AFU did not specifically confirm the downing of the Kh-47 "Kinjal" aeroballistic missile over Kyiv on May 4.
This is stated in a post on Telegram of the Air Force, Censor.NET informs.
"We emphasize once again that the military leadership decided not to make public the information about the downing of the X-47 "Kinzhal" by the "Patriot" system IMMEDIATELY. The reasons are quite clear. All in your own time!" - says the message.
Also remind, that on May 4, explosions rang out in Kyiv during an air raid. The head of the KCMA, Serhii Popko, said that on May 4, the Russians "attacked Kyiv using barrage ammunition of the Shahed type and missiles, probably of the ballistic type."
The Air Force stated that they could not confirm the use of ballistics.
On May 5, Defense Express published an article in which it was reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down a hypersonic Dagger missile for the first time.
Air Force spokesman Yurii Ignat denied the downing of "Kinzhal" over Kyiv. But on May 6, Air Force Commander Oleschuk confirmed that he had indeed been shot down.
