Enemy hit civilian object in Ivano-Frankivsk region, 8-year-old boy was killed, there are casualties (updated)
On the morning of 11 August, the enemy launched a cynical attack on Prykarpattia.
This was reported by the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration Svitlana Onyshchuk on Telegram, Censor.NET reports.
"This morning, the enemy struck a cynical blow in Prykarpattia. A civilian object was hit. There are casualties, including a child who was taken to hospital in critical condition. Doctors did everything possible, but unfortunately, they could not save the child's life. My condolences to the family!" she said.
The head of the region once again urged not to ignore air raid warnings.
According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, on 11 August 2023, at around 10 a.m., the Russian military fired aerial ballistic missiles at the infrastructure of the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
The rocket hit the territory of a private house in Kolomia district, where a family with three children lived.
"An 8-year-old boy died as a result of the shelling. Information about other victims is currently being clarified. An outbuilding was partially destroyed by the blast wave and debris," the statement said.
The relevant services and the investigative team are working at the scene.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the SSU Office in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Earlier it was reported that a large-scale alert was raised in Ukraine due to the take-off of an enemy MiG-31K. There were launches of "Kinzhal" in the direction of the Kyiv region, and later repeated launches. No hits were recorded in the Kyiv region. Explosions were also heard in the Khmelnytsky region.
