During the talks between the Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and China, Dmytro Kuleba and Wang Yi, the Ukrainian side stated that it supports China's position on Taiwan and will adhere to the "one China" principle.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the press service of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
The ministry noted that China and Ukraine will continue to strengthen political mutual trust and intensify cooperation in various fields, including economics, tradeб and agriculture.
It should be noted that Ukraine does not recognize Taiwan as an independent state and considers the island an integral part of China.
In turn, official Taipei has not declared its independence and claims to return its government to Beijing.
As reported earlier, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will call for a ceasefire and a peaceful settlement of the war during talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba during his visit to the country, despite Russia's occupation of Ukrainian territories.
Censor.NET also reported that Kuleba was traveling to China to discuss ways to end Russian aggression.
On July 23, it became known that Kuleba had arrived in China.
Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba held talks with Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of China Wang Yi, saying that Ukraine was ready to negotiate with Russia at a certain stage.
