In Pokrovsk, certain parts of city will be blocked for defense purposes, - CMA (clarified)
In order to defend against Russian invaders, entry and exit roads of the city of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, will be completely blocked.
This was announced during a telethon by the head of the Pokrovsk CMA (City Military Administration) Serhii Dobriak, NV reports, Censor.NET informs.
The official calls on the townspeople to evacuate before the city will be blocked. According to Dobriak, the military is already blocking the outskirts of the city.
The head of the CMA said that the occupiers are currently 6.7 km from one of the outskirts of Pokrovsk.
As of October 30, 11,900 residents remain in Pokrovsk, 55 of whom are children.
"We urge people to leave at least for the winter because it will be very difficult in the cold because there will be no heating season, but there will be heating points," the official added.

In a commentary to Suspilne, the head of the CMA, Serhii Dobriak, said that certain areas of Pokrovsk would be blocked.
He clarified that his words on the air of the "United News" telethon did not refer to the complete blocking of entry and exit roads of entire city.
"Fortifications are being built in Pokrovsk, and we are already entering the city, and certain parts of the city will be blocked, so please leave these areas, not entry and exit roads of the city. Several echelons have already been built in the city, which will partially block the streets and neighborhoods of Pokrovsk," the official said.
He also added that the echeloned defense of the Pokrovsk community has been built since 2022.
As a reminder, on October 25, Dobriak said that the Pokrovsk community in the Donetsk region was building an echelon defense. Currently, the southern and western parts of Pokrovsk have been completely closed off from the Russian invaders.
