Pavel allowed 60 Czechs to join Armed Forces, - presidential spokesman

Czech President Petr Pavel has authorized 60 citizens of the country to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was stated by the press secretary of the Czech president, Filip Platos, according to Český rozhlas, Censor.NET reports .
It is noted that more than 180 Czech citizens have asked Pavel to allow them to join the Ukrainian army. However, there is currently no information on how many of these applications were rejected and for what reasons.
However, it is known that Pavel allowed 60 Czech citizens to join the ranks of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Under current Czech law, Czech residents are prohibited from joining foreign military formations or private military companies without the approval of the president. This rule also applies to foreigners who have received a residence permit in the country.
As a reminder, in late October, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law allowing foreigners and stateless persons to serve under contract as officers in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
