Effectiveness of "Kalibrs" used by Russia to attack Ukraine has decreased - Ukrainian Navy

Russian Kalibr cruise missiles, which the occupiers are using to attack Ukraine, are showing less and less effectiveness.
This was stated by Dmytro Pletenchuk, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, during a briefing, Censor.NET reports.
"It is a rather dangerous weapon, but its effectiveness has decreased significantly since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. We should not write it off, because it is a fairly massive weapon, which they have enough of in the Black Sea - they have 8 carriers. And when they are not shelling, they are accumulating it, because their military-industrial complex is working, albeit lamely. However, they have already realized that the use of "kalibrs" as a separate type of weapon does not bring results," he explained.
According to Pletenchuk, during the last two attacks, when the enemy massively used Kalibrs, the Ukrainian Air Force showed one hundred percent destruction. However, the enemy may use these missiles in possible combined attacks.
"Any combined attack may involve their use. We should not rule out the option that they can use them separately at some point, for example, during training and combat activities, when they can go to sea to train their sailors to launch such missiles. But, again, the effectiveness of such missiles raises many questions," the spokesman summarized.
Earlier it was reported that on August 26, 2024, Russian troops used the Kalibr cluster missile for the first time to strike Ukraine. The remains of the missile were found in the Kharkiv region.
It was also reported that Russia is building unified launching platforms for Kalibrs and Oniks.
