We must do everything to end war diplomatically in 2025 - Zelenskyy

Ukraine must do everything to ensure that the war ends diplomatically in 2025.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in an interview with Ukrainian Radio, Censor.NET reports with reference to RBC-Ukraine.

"On our part, we must do everything to ensure that the war ends next year through diplomatic means," Zelenskyy said.

He emphasized that this is an important aspect that needs to be worked on.

The President added that Ukrainians should remember who they are fighting, as Russians do not value people and equipment.

"No one wants peace like we do. The change in US policy means that, in my opinion, the war will be over. I don't know how. Our task is to defend a strong position. The end of this war is very important to us, a just peace and not to feel that we lost the best because of the injustice that was imposed on you. And that's why you can't bow your head, that's why someone is big and you are smaller. We are a great nation and we have to prove it," the head of state said.

He also emphasized that the war would not end abstractly.

"But there is no exact date. But the war will end faster with the policy of this team that will now lead the White House. This is their approach, this is their promise, and this is also very important to them," the president said.

Earlier, Zelenskyy also named the conditions for starting negotiations with Russia. Zelenskyy also claimed that Putin is seeking to destroy Ukraine, and he does not want the negotiations to end the war to result in any good. In addition, he assured that the war would end faster under the Trump administration and that the rhetoric of "sit down and listen" does not work.
