41 out of 64 Shaheds destroyed, another 22 drones lost locally - Air Force
On the night of 8 January 2025, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 64 Shahed-type strike UAVs and various types of imitation drones.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press centre of the Air Force Command.
As noted, the air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
How many drones did our air defence shoot down?
According to the Air Force, as of 09.00, 41 "Shahed" attack UAVs and other types of drones were confirmed downed in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv and Kirovohrad regions.
22 enemy imitator drones were lost locally (without negative consequences), three of them flew towards russia and one towards Belarus.
Earlier it was reported that a house was damaged by debris as a result of "Shaheds'" attack in Kyiv region.
