Zelenskyy calls on Ramstein to increase supply of air defense systems to Ukraine

Zelenskyy on Ukraine’s desire to do everything to end the war with dignity this year

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the members of the Ramstein Contact Group to urgently increase the supply of air defense systems to Ukraine amid intensified Russian attacks.

He said this at a meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense in the Ramstein format, Censor.NET reports.

"We really need - we need air defense systems. You have already given them to us, thank you very much, and we need a lot of systems," Zelenskyy said.

The president also noted that Ukraine is negotiating with the United States on licensing air defense production on its territory, which, according to him, could become an important part of the country's security guarantees.

"This can become a significant part of our security guarantees, and it is absolutely real," Zelenskyy said.

He called on partners to fulfill the agreements already reached to supply the necessary systems to the front line to ensure the protection of the Ukrainian military from Russian attacks. The President also thanked the countries that are already helping Ukraine with artillery, armored vehicles and other necessary equipment.

"Our men and women on the front line need to feel that the wall is protecting them, and nothing proves this better than the confidence that they have everything they need to repel Russian attacks," he added.

As a reminder, on Thursday, January 9, Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived at the Ramstein meeting in Germany.
