Trump believes he is making progress in negotiations with Russia to end war in Ukraine

US President Donald Trump is confident that during his contacts, including a telephone conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, he managed to make progress in negotiations with Russia to end the war in Ukraine.
Trump told reporters about this, Censor.NET reports citing Reuters.
He reiterated that he had already had a phone conversation with Putin, but refused to provide any details about it.
"I had it. Let's just say I had it... And I expect many more conversations. We have to end this war," the US leader said.
"If we're talking, I don't want to tell you about the talks," Trump said.
"I believe we are making progress. We want to stop the Ukrainian-Russian war," he added.
He also noted that the United States maintains contacts with Russia and Ukraine.
"We are talking to both sides," he said.
Earlier, Censor.NET reported that Trump spoke on the phone with Putin about ending the war in Ukraine.
As a reminder, on February 7, US President Donald Trump said that he was likely to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy next week. Zelenskyy later announced talks with Trump's team. Zelenskyy also wants Trump to meet with him first and then with Putin.
