Russia is ready to return to negotiating table regarding Ukraine – Putin

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has said that Russia is ready to return to the negotiating table over the war in Ukraine. Moscow has "never refused to engage in dialogue.

He said this to the Russian media, Censor.NET reports.

According to him, there is no need for intermediaries in the dialogue between Russia and the United States.

He also commented on the meetings of the US and Russian delegations in Saudi Arabia.

Putin said he "highly assesses the outcome of the talks in Riyadh"

The Kremlin leader noted that the US side of the talks was represented by "completely different people - without bias or judgement".

"Russia is ready to return to the negotiating table on Ukraine. Russia has never refused to engage in dialogue with Europe or Ukraine. The Europeans themselves stopped contact with Moscow, and Kyiv even banned itself from negotiations with Russia," the Russian dictator said.

Putin added that he would be "happy" to meet with US President Donald Trump, but that the meeting should be prepared.
