Kallas on US-Russia talks: Russia has not given up its territorial goals in Ukraine

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas said that Russia's cooperation with the United States shows its unwillingness to abandon its occupation plans for Ukraine.
She said this on the sidelines of the G20 foreign ministers' meeting in Johannesburg, Censor.NET reports with reference to Reuters.
"We understand from the interactions they have had with the Americans that... they have not abandoned their goals," she stressed.
Callas warned that concessions to the Kremlin would set a dangerous precedent. "If we give everything on a silver platter to the aggressor, it sends a message to all aggressors in the world that you can do this," she added.
She also emphasized that some countries are focusing too much on mediation instead of increasing political and economic pressure on Russia.
"The fact that Russia does not want peace is somewhat overlooked," Kallas concluded.
