113 out of 185 "Shaheds" destroyed, another 71 drones lost locally - Air Force
On the night of 24 February 2025, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 185 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of imitation drones.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press centre of the Air Force Command.
As noted, the air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
How many drones did our air defence destroy?
According to the Air Force, as of 08:00, 113 Shahed and other types of attack UAVs were confirmed downed in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Khmelnytskyi, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kherson and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
71 hostile imitator UAVs were lost in the area (no negative consequences).
Consequences
The enemy attack affected Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Kyiv and Khmelnytskyi regions.
Earlier, Censor.NET reported that in the evening of February 23, Russian troops launched attack drones in Ukraine. Later, the wreckage of a downed drone fell in the Desnianskyi district of Kyiv.
In addition, it was noted that on the night of February 24, Russian drones attacked the Kyiv region. Air defence forces were operating in the region, and the wreckage of a UAV hit an unfinished multi-story building in the Brovary district.
