Ukrainian military begin shooting down shaheds with FPV drones, achieving real results – Sukharevskyi

Sukharevskyi on shooting down Shaheds by FPV drones

The commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Vadym Sukharevskyi, said that the Ukrainian military has begun using FPV drones to shoot down Russian "Shahed" drones.

He said this in an interview with Liga.net, Censor.NET reports.

According to Sukharevskyi, the enemy responds asymmetrically to every step taken by the Ukrainians.

"For example, when Shaheds were launched at us from Russia, we quickly created thousands of mobile fire groups, which proved to be highly effective. The Russians saw that their efforts were futile and started changing their tactics—adjusting altitudes and improving their approach. So what did we do? Now we are starting to shoot down Shaheds with FPV drones, and this is already yielding real results. From here, a constant technological race begins," said the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces.

He noted that every operation of the Defense Forces involves considering various intelligence data: regarding electronic warfare, their air defense, and objective, passive protection.

"For example, airfield fortifications, burying aircraft or fuel tanks. That’s why planning is everything for us. We can’t do without it," the serviceman added.

Earlier, Sukharevskyi stated that one hundred percent of the drones attacking military targets in Russia are of Ukrainian manufacture.
