Enemy attacked Ukraine with four missiles and 181 Shaheds: 115 drones destroyed - Air Force

Ukrainian air defence forces shot down 115 enemy UAVs over last day

On the night of 5 March 2025, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with three Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Voronezh region, one S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile from the Kursk region, and 181 Shahed strike UAVs and various types of imitation drones.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press centre of the Air Force Command.

As noted, the air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defence Forces of Ukraine.

What did our air defence manage to shoot down?

According to the Air Force, as of 09.30 a.m., 115 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of drones were confirmed downed in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Mykolaiv and Odesa regions.

55 enemy imitator drones were lost in the area (without negative consequences).

Consequences

Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions suffered as a result of the hostile attack.

What preceded it?

Earlier it was reported that at the end of the day on Tuesday, 4 March, Russian invaders struck at the critical infrastructure of Odesa. Later it became known that a man was killed in a Russian drone attack in the suburbs of Odesa.

Later, the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office reported that at least 20 houses were damaged in the suburbs of Odesa as a result of the Russian attack. A recreation centre in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district was destroyed by a missile strike.

Censor.NET also noted that Russian troops launched rocket attacks on Pavlohrad: 2 industrial enterprises were damaged. In the Kyiv region, 85 apartments, 22 cars, a school and a kindergarten were damaged in an enemy attack.
