We are ready to provide EU with data on war sponsors to support further sanctions pressure – Stefanishyna

The 29th meeting of the European Commission's Task Force Freeze and Seize (Task Force Freeze and Seize) took place in Brussels.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Justice, Censor.NET informs.
The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Olha Stefanishyna.
The group focuses on EU sanctions policy and measures to seize and confiscate assets of individuals and companies involved in financing Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine.
Stefanishyna emphasized the importance of not only implementing sanctions, but also identifying all sanctioned property for further application of restrictions.
According to her, Ukraine is ready to deepen cooperation with European partners in this area.
"Ukraine has collected a significant amount of data confirming the direct connection of sanctioned individuals, companies and sectors with the financing of Russian aggression and support of the Russian military machine. We are ready to provide this information to any EU member state and look forward to close coordination of efforts.
Sanctions exist and they work. We have a common approach to their implementation at the level of EU member states. Ukraine remains involved in this process and fully adheres to the basic principles of sanctions policy," the Vice Prime Minister added.
The European Commission's Working Group on the Freezing and Confiscation of Assets was formed in March 2022 to ensure the effective implementation of the EU's sanctions policy. Its main task is to identify, freeze and, where possible, confiscate the assets of persons involved in supporting the aggression of the Russian Federation. The group includes representatives of 27 EU countries, as well as the European Commission, Eurojust, Europol and other relevant institutions.
