EU member states will face consequences if they decide to take part in May 9 parade in Moscow - Kallas

The head of the EU diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, said that EU member states will face consequences if they decide to take part in the May 9 parade in Moscow.
She said this during a press conference on Monday, April 14, Liga.net reports, Censor.NET informs.
"Many ministers have said that the EU takes trips to Moscow to celebrate May 9 seriously, they will have consequences," the top diplomat said.
She also emphasized that the EU has made it clear that it does not want any of the candidate countries to participate in the parade in Moscow.
"I think it was very clear," Kallas said.
The EU diplomat was also asked whether European allies were thinking about coming to Kyiv on May 9. To which Kallas replied:
"Of course, we are always looking for options to demonstrate solidarity with Ukraine."
Earlier it was reported that the European Union officially called on the states that are candidates for accession to refrain from participating in the celebrations in Moscow on the occasion of May 9.
It was also reported that the Ukrainian government had asked European leaders to visit Kyiv on May 9, the day when a military parade is traditionally held in Moscow.
