Providing Ukraine with Patriot systems is political issue. It all comes down to our partners’ decisions - Zelenskyy

Zelenskyy on Patriot

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has once again called for Ukraine to receive Patriot air defense systems to protect against ballistic missiles from Russian troops.

The head of state said this during a briefing with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Censor.NET reports, citing the EP.

The head of state expressed hope for the implementation of "air defense agreements with partners in Europe and America."

"Patriot is very important, it is a defensive weapon. We are not just asking for Patriot, we spoke with the Secretary General today, we are ready to unite to find money and buy these systems... This is a political issue today. There are systems in the world, there are missiles, and it depends solely on the decisions of the leaders whether we will have enough protection against Russian ballistics," Zelenskyy emphasized.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the participants of the meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense in the Ramstein format in Brussels and called for strengthening Ukraine with ten additional Patriot air defense systems.
