If Russia is truly prepared to engage in full and unconditional silence, Ukraine will mirror that approach, Zelensky stated

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has agreed to a complete ceasefire if "complete ceasefire really prevails."
This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to the statement of the head of state.
The head of state reminded that the corresponding proposal for a full and unconditional ceasefire for a period of 30 days has remained unanswered by Russia for 39 days. The United States made this proposal, Ukraine took it positively, but Russia ignored it.
"If now Russia is suddenly ready to really join the format of complete and unconditional silence, Ukraine will act in a mirror image - the way it will be on the Russian side. Silence in response to silence, strikes to protect against strikes," the president said.
Zelenskyy added that if complete silence does prevail, Ukraine proposes to extend it beyond the Easter Day on April 20.
"This will show Russia's true intentions, because 30 hours is enough for headlines, but not for real confidence-building measures. Thirty days can give peace a chance," the president said.
So far, according to Zelenskyy, according to a report by Armed Forces Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, Russian assault operations continue in some parts of the frontline, and Russian artillery continues to fire. Therefore, there is no credibility to the words from Moscow, the president said.
"We know too well how Moscow manipulates, and we are always ready for anything. Ukraine's defense forces will act rationally, mirroring the response. There will be a sufficient response to every Russian attack. At 09:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., I expect detailed reports from Chief Commander Oleksandr Syrskyi after he has communicated with the commanders of brigades and other units at the front line on the situation in specific areas," the head of state said.
As a reminder, today, April 19, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin allegedly announced an Easter truce that will be in effect from 06:00 p.m. Moscow time on April 19 to midnight on April 21.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's announcement of the so-called Easter truce by saying that it was another of Putin's attempts to play with people's lives.
