Zelenskyy on risk of deal between Trump and Putin without Ukraine: Who said we would agree?

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that no agreements concerning Ukraine can be made without taking Kyiv's position into account.
According to Censor.NET, citing Channel 24, the head of state made this statement during a conversation with journalists.
The possibility of meeting with Putin
Zelenskyy doubts that Putin will want to meet with him, as the dictator does not need an agreement between Russia and Ukraine.
According to the president, the format in which the war ends is not important to him. The main thing is that it is not done without Ukraine.
Decision on Ukraine
He suggests the possibility of Trump first meeting with Putin and then with him to agree on the positions of the parties.
However, under no circumstances should the US leader and the Russian dictator agree on Ukraine behind its back.
Zelenskyy recalled that Donald Trump had already given Putin "political passes", and Putin responded to them with outright lies:
So why should President Trump negotiate anything with Putin without taking our position into account? Who said that we would then accept this position? In other words, it is not beneficial.
The president noted that Trump needs success in Ukraine.
"If America is successful, it means that we can very quickly make decisions on the restoration of our state, and everything will be found for this restoration. I definitely received signals from the American side. It is important for us to know and understand this," he concluded.
