Leaders of European Union member states have "serious doubts" about certain provisions of the charter of the "Peace Council" initiated by US President Donald Trump.

This was announced by European Council President António Costa at a press conference following the EU leaders' summit in Brussels, according to Censor.NET.

"We have serious doubts about a number of elements in the Peace Council's charter that relate to its scope of activity, governance, and compatibility with the UN Charter," Koszta emphasized.

At the same time, he noted that the European Union is ready to cooperate with the US to implement a comprehensive peace plan for the Gaza Strip with the participation of the "Peace Council," which "will carry out the mission of the transitional administration in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution No. 2803."
