Armed Forces of Ukraine in Lyman direction captured two Russians during infiltration attempt, - Demchenko

On February 19, Ukrainian defenders captured two Russian soldiers who were attempting to infiltrate Ukrainian combat positions in the Liman direction.
This was reported by State Border Service spokesman Andrii Demchenko, according to Censor.NET with reference to Ukrinform.
"The enemy has been most active recently in the Pokrovsk and Lyman areas. As for the border with Russia, it is in the direction of the village of Vovchanski Khutory.
As noted, two Russians were captured yesterday in the Liman direction who were trying to infiltrate our lines and somehow advance," Demchenko said.
Enemy activity on the border
According to the spokesperson, Russian troops continue to attack Ukrainian positions with small infantry groups in the direction of Vovchanski Khutory.
Within the Vovchansk district, activity was recorded near the settlements of Dihtiarne and Rybalchyne. Earlier, the enemy attempted to "probe" the Ukrainian border in order to subsequently attack the positions of border units with greater forces. However, after suffering losses, its activity decreased.
In the Sumy region, the most difficult situation in the area of responsibility of the State Border Guard Service is observed in the Khotyn and Yunakiv communities. There, enemy infantry groups periodically attempt to advance and attack the positions of Ukrainian defenders.
At the same time, according to Demchenko, there is currently no evidence of active concentration of enemy forces in these areas. However, he does not rule out further targeted attacks by Russian troops in order to find weak spots in the defense.
