Ukraine expects reciprocity from Middle Eastern countries in four areas in return for its assistance, — Foreign Ministry

Ukraine is seeking support in four key areas, including political support, the tightening of sanctions against Russia, the expansion of security partnerships, and participation in post-war reconstruction, in response to the assistance provided to countries in the Middle East.
According to Censor.NET, citing Interfax-Ukraine, this was stated by Heorhii Tykhyi, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at a briefing in Kyiv.
Ukraine is counting on reciprocity
Tikhyi noted that Ukraine is the only country with a comprehensive system for countering the aerial threats currently posed by Iran to the Gulf states and the countries of the Middle East. No other country in the world, apart from Ukraine, has such experience.
He said that some Arab countries had already expressed their gratitude for the practical support.
"Therefore, in this context, with regard to this support, Ukraine naturally expects reciprocity from the countries in the region, particularly in four key areas," the spokesperson said.
What areas are we talking about?
Tikhyi noted that Ukraine "expects reciprocity" in the following areas:
- First, it involves strengthening political support for Ukraine.
- Second, support for sanctions policies against Russia and Iran.
- Third, expanding practical cooperation in the field of security and defense.
- Fourth, participation in Ukraine’s reconstruction and investment projects.
"I think you'll see some specific negotiations and agreements down the line," Tikhiy said.
What happened before?
- Earlier, Zelenskyy stated that three professional Ukrainian teams had been dispatched to the Middle East. They will be working in various countries across the region to combat Iranian drones. In exchange for this assistance, Kyiv hopes to receive missiles for its Patriot air defense systems.
- Ukraine has provided the United States with drone interception technology to enhance security in the Middle East.
