Twenty-nine people were killed in the crash of a Russian An-26 military transport aircraft over the temporarily occupied Crimea.

This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defence, according to Censor.NET.

What is known

The Russians stated that there were six crew members and 23 passengers on board.

According to propaganda media, a technical fault has been cited as the preliminary cause of the crash.

Another Russian source at the crash site reported that the An-26 aircraft, contact with which had previously been lost, crashed into a cliff.
