Budanov: Trilateral talks between Ukraine, United States and Russia have prospects

The process of peace negotiations between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia is ongoing, but it is extremely difficult.
This was stated by Head of the President’s Office Kyrylo Budanov in response to a question from a Suspilne correspondent at a meeting of CEO Club Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.
A difficult process
Budanov explained that the complexity of the negotiation process is due to three factors: the war has been going on for 12 years, it is the largest and bloodiest in the world in terms of human and financial losses, and it is "one of the most complex geopolitical issues, where the interests of the United States, the EU, Russia and China intersect."
"Therefore, solving this issue just like that is absolutely unrealistic. At the same time, saying that peace negotiations make no sense at all and have no prospects would also be untrue. And I sincerely hope that we will eventually be able to arrive at something. Have we arrived there now? No, we have not. Can we get there? I think we can, at least I hope so," the head of the President’s Office said.
Possible visit by U.S. delegation to Ukraine
In addition, Budanov said that Ukraine hopes a U.S. delegation will arrive in Kyiv to continue the peace talks.
"This is the predicted next step that we were counting on, which, by the way, may not happen, but we are hoping for it... Do not focus on the process — what should interest you is the result. You will definitely learn the results," the head of the President’s Office said.
