Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi held a meeting with commanders at various levels, saying that Ukraine needs to strengthen the effectiveness of its unmanned systems.
He said this on Telegram, Censor.NET reports.
What is known?
"During the joint meeting, company, battalion, regiment, and brigade commanders of unmanned systems shared their experience. Each of them is not only working effectively in their own sector, but is also contributing to the development of a shared base of knowledge, skills, and methods.
The discussion also covered the effectiveness of our organizational and tactical decisions in the use of Middle Strike drones. It also addressed the first results of the newly created unmanned systems battalions within Territorial Defense brigades," the statement says.
According to Syrskyi, Ukraine has a lot to be proud of in the UAV field.
"At the same time, there is still work to be done to solve existing problems. This applies in particular to procurement, regulatory and financial support for R&D workshops, and organizational and staffing changes in unmanned systems units.
Innovative developments, rationalization proposals, and life hacks in the field of unmanned systems must be consolidated and communicated to the troops as quickly as possible. Problematic issues must likewise be resolved without delay. I have identified the priority tasks.
The competition with the Russian aggressor is ongoing in three areas: the quality and number of unmanned systems units, technology, and the capacities of the economies. We have no other path than to strengthen the power and effectiveness of our unmanned systems in order to win this confrontation while at the same time preserving the lives of our soldiers," he concluded.
